Benefits
We strive to provide our employees with a comprehensive and highly competitive remuneration and benefits package.
Financial benefits
The financial benefits of working at Invesco include:
Salary & bonuses
Competitive salaries based on market rate and individual performance.
Discretionary annual bonuses based on individual merit and performance.
Sales, Client Services and Fund Managers have their own 'variable compensation scheme'.
Pension scheme
We offer a non-contributory pension scheme of 10% of base salary. You can add your own contributions and, depending on your length of service, we will match these.
You can also make Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs).
Interest free loans
Available to all employees to assist with travel expenses - the purchase or upkeep of a car or the cost of season tickets for rail or bus transport - to and from their normal place of work.
Life assurance
In the event of your death while working for us, an insured amount will become available to your nominated beneficiaries.
Personal accident insurance
All employees are covered in the event of death or disability caused by a personal accident.
Childcare
We offer Childcare Vouchers Direct, which converts part of your salary into vouchers to pay for registered childcare.
Discounts
A variety of discounts are available from local businesses including eating out, travel, health & beauty, gym membership and car repair.
Discretionary Share Incentive Plan (SIP)
This allows you to buy Invesco shares from pre-tax salary. Shares held in trust for five years can then be released free of income tax and national insurance. (Please note deductions may affect your entitlement to, or the level of, some contributory Social Security benefits, statutory maternity pay and statutory sick pay).
Finders' fee
A bonus is paid to employees who introduce a friend to a fixed term contract or permanent role subject to terms and conditions.
Wellbeing
This programme offers our employees a range of valuable benefits, aimed at enhancing their sense of 'wellbeing', and includes:
Private medical insurance
For you and your family, provided by PruHealth.
Access to private GP services
All employees are entitled to regular medical and eyesight examinations at the Company's expense, as well as access to free consultations with the Company doctor. Our Henley office also has an on-site physiotherapist.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
A confidential and impartial counselling and advice service, helping you or your family with all types of issues e.g. health, wellbeing, legal and financial advice.
Carer support helpline
Available to all employees 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist with finding care for both children and dependent/elderly relatives.
Income Protection Plan
Provides income should you be unable to work for a prolonged period of time due to illness (subject to the rules of the plan).
On-site gym and beauty therapist
Our Henley office has a state-of-the-art gym offering a full range of equipment and regular classes that are available to all staff, Monday to Friday. Membership is at an extremely competitive rate.
There is also an on-site beauty therapist offering treatments and the facility to have a sports massage.
Work-life balance
Work-life balance is a serious matter. Employees are entitled to 26 days holiday a year which rises to 30 days after 5 years service. We offer exceptional leave for parents, well above the statutory minimum. We provide all employees the opportunity to request flexible working and we try to accommodate requests where possible.
Work should be fun is the cliché, but we do try our best to help people get to know each other and provide opportunities for socialising outside the formality of the office. There is an active Sports and Social committee which is partly subsidised. This gives employees the chance to go on quiz nights, weekends away, themed nights out and sporting events like golf or horse racing.
Incentives
'You're a star' scheme
'You're a star' is designed to help motivate people and encourage a culture of positive feedback.
It currently operates within our Administration and Client Services departments in Henley-on-Thames.
It is a points based system that allows you to choose your own reward from an online shopping site.
Points are gained in various ways:
- Receiving a simple 'thank you' from a colleague allows your name to be put into a monthly draw. Each drawn name gains a certain number of points that can be used to 'buy' a reward
- Being nominated for an 'exceptional award' by a colleague provides reward points
- Being a winner of the quarterly 'exceptional award' by a selection panel provides even more reward points
And, as an incentive to nominate colleagues for an 'exceptional award', reward points are given to those whose nominee wins a quarterly 'exceptional award'.
